Tempa Bianca is only 10 kilometers from Matera, and is 3 kilometers from the newest main road in Basilicata, SS Bradanica, easily reached from the west by highway A16 Napoli-Bari which joins the Naples bypass and highway A30 Caserta-Salerno, little more than 2 hours from us; and from the east by highway A24 Bologna-Taranto, at the Foggia tollbooth, about 90 minutes from Tempa Bianca. 

Please note:  The SS Bradanica is - in some spots - still under construction and, consequently, may not be completely indicated on road maps and GPS navigations systems.  Therefore, we suggest that you follow these directions: 

From Matera, exit from the town center in one of the following directions:

• exit Matera South: on SS7 go towards Bari and exit at the Grassano interchange - Zone PAIP; go straight towards Borgo La Martella
• exit Matera North: on SS7 go towards Potenza and exit at the Grassano interchange - Zone PAIP; go straight towards Borgo La Martella
• exit Matera Central (Fire Station): proceed straight towards Borgo La Martella
• 
• At the Borgo La Martella intersection turn right and continue on the main road towards Grassano for approximately 8 kilometers: you will see the entrance to Tempa Bianca on the right.
• 
• These directions are also valid if you are coming from Bari, Taranto, Potenza and Metaponto.

From the northeast, via highway A24 Bologna - Taranto:

• Exit at the Foggia tollbooth
• Follow the signs for Candela
• Go straight past San Nicola di Melfi industrial zone (Fiat Sata factory); you are now on SS Bradanica
• Follow the signs for Matera (in the Spinazzola suburb the road breaks off for a few kilometers and later rejoins, following the exit for Genzano di Lucania)
• At the end of SS Bradanica, turn right towards Grassano and continue for 3 kilometers

From the northwest via highway A16 Napoli - Bari:

• Exit at the Candela tollbooth
• Follow the signs for the San Nicola di Melfi Industrial Zone - Matera
• Go straight past the San Nicola di Melfi Industrial Zone (Fiat Sata factory); you are now on SS Bradanica
• Follow the signs for Matera (in the Spinazzola suburb the road breaks off for a few kilometers and later rejoins, following the exit for Genzano di Lucania)
• At the end of SS Bradanica, turn right towards Grassano and continue for 3 kilometers
